Motion Design
Here are some example of motion design projects I have completed using Adobe After Effects.
Shapes – The first project involved syncing movement to music, using abstract shapes as visuals.
Kinetic Typography – The second project was to take an audio clip with someone talking, and to animate their words in an interesting way. I chose an audio clip from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, specifically a small piece of the scene about the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
End Card – For the next project, I created an end card, like you would see on TV, advertising a show called Beyond Infinity. (The show, schedule, and network were created by me)
Infographic – The next project is an infographic about space, with the goal of presenting statistical information in an interesting and engaging way. I designed all of the visual elements in Adobe Illustrator before goin on to animate them In After Effects.
Narrative – For the final project I have chosen to show, I was tasked with creating a narrative. I decided to create a story about a little wooden man going on an adventure. The story is presented through a series of “cinemagraphs”, and as such, most of each image remains static, however if you look closely there are small pieces of each scene that move.
